Ocean City Summer Fun
The purpose of the Ocean City Hotel-Motel-Restaurant Association is to promote tourism in Ocean City. This is achieved through advertising in all media, travel shows, direct mail and tourist placement. The Association serves its members by informing them of legislative and legal issues pertinent to the Hospitality Industry. The funding of this non-profit association is from annual dues and an annual trade show. The OCHMRA is not a service organization.

Hospitality Training Institute
University of Maryland Eastern Shore has appointed Professor Richard P. Gormley as Director of the Hospitality Training Institute. Implemented as an outreach effort of the Department of Hotel and Restaurant Management, the Hospitality Training Institute has been developed to partner with the Chamber of Commerce, Economic Development Committee, and the Hotel-Motel-Restaurant Association to provide hospitality training to our employees. Best of all, he will offer the training free of charge! Generally, training sessions are most effective with classes of ten or more. Rick specializes in guest relations training, techniques of alcohol management, and dealing with difficult customers. If you would like Rick to help train your employees so they can provide exceptional guest service, please call Gretchen Givens at UMES Contiuing Education at 410-250-1088 or visit their website at http://www.umes.edu/hti
